Castello di Arechi
The Castello di Arechi is a castle of medieval origin that stands on the ashes of a Roman castrum, located on Mount Bonadies. In the Middle Ages it was used by the Salernitans to defend themselves from enemies; today it is considered one of the most important monuments of the city. It currently consists of a central section protected by towers, joined together by a wall enriched by battlements and offers a splendid view of Salerno and the entire Gulf. In the restored area a museum has been set up where tools used by the inhabitants of the castle, medieval ceramics and coins were exhibited. Furthermore, wonderful rooms have been set up for exhibitions, conferences and receptions. It is therefore possible to celebrate your wedding in this historic home, the center of life that once was, reigning over the entire seaside city from above.
