Castello Lancellotti

(Italiano)

Looking away from Nola, on the “first stone” of the Vallo di Lauro, the Lancellotti Castle rises majestically, one of the most beautiful period residences in Campania. Historical museum that welcomes thousands of visitors a year, the Castle has origins prior to the year 1000, as evidenced by the presence of Norman friezes, and appears for the first time in the registers of the Angevin chancellery in 1277. Passed over the centuries by a noble house to another, (from Sanseverino to Del Balzo, from Orsini to Pignatelli), in 1632 it finally became the property of the noble Roman Lancellotti family who rebuilt it in 1870 after the French republicans set it on fire. The charming rooms where counts, marquises and princes lived await you all year round, to relive the style and magnificence of the past by offering you the opportunity to organize unforgettable receptions and splendid gala evenings.
